Really sorry if I posted this before, but apart from a small mention in Anthony Beevor on D-day, has anyone come across any mention of Soviet military mission members observing the fighting in Normandy?

I recall reading in the Pegasus Bridge museum that Russian observers after the fighting had refused to believe that the gliders were still located where they had landed, so close to the German positions, and that they had not been moved closer for propaganda purposes afterwards - which is of course precisely what the Russian leadership would have done and pretty much what they still do today in order to show themselves in a good light and cast doubt on others.

Yes, thank you all. Nothing about them for years and then here they are!
