I would be obliged if somone with access to the WWII Soldiers Who Died CD-ROM could look up Pte Leslie Lawrence Barden of the 1st Battalion The Loyal North Lancashire Regt who died 8 February 1944 for his place of enlistment & residence.

    Many thanks

The "Army Roll of Honour 1939-45" ( the WW2 equivalent of SDGW) unfortunately doesn't go into as much detail as it's WW1 predecessor.

This is all it basically states (other than that that you have already stated) :

Service number:5954291 (which ,interestingly, is in the number block allocated to the Cambridgeshire Regiment - his first unit?)

    Born: Oxfordshire

    Residence: Buckinghamshire

    Theatre of war: Italy

The list doesn't give place of enlistment.
