I wonder if anybody would know the answer to this please .... CCWG can't help me as it's not a war grave ! There was a baby few days old when when he died and he was buried at Shorncliff Military Cemetery as his father was in the army ..... was there a civilian part of the cemetery also ? ... and what would be the best way to find out about the grave ? Thanking you in advance Annie
Hi Annie, I made a visit to Shorncliffe Military Cemetery earlier this year. If there was a burial of this nature I'm sure it would of been in the top tier of the cemetery, Sadly a lot of the top tier was over grown on my visit. I believe there was a book produced locally giving the history of the Cemetery, but I've been unable to find it.
As the link suggests I'm probably going there on the Bank Holiday W/end (Weather dependant) so if I can help in anyway just shout
Thank you all for your replies ! I thought maybe there was an email or database or something ... but I haven't been able to find one .... thank you for your offer Drew but I don't have any details yet !! -_- ... I'll see if I can find the book 52nd Airborne mentioned ! Annie
