Sorry if I have done this wrong. I am the proud daughter of Sgt Major WARD - 'C' Squadron, 15th Scottish Reconnaissance Regt. During awful COVID-19 and being furloughed I have been re-coding my Father's web page and researching more info on his military career. Major Albert Ward MBE MM The Royal Highland Fusiliers RHF I came across your fab forum and it made me almost cry - a photo of Daddy receiving his MM from General Montgomery (for Nettlekamp) - courtesy of fab Car_Commander! Does anyone please have any - photographs with Daddy (Sgt Major WARD) in them - other info about him during his 'C' Squadron times? Hugest thanks
Nice website & photos, there are some articles on 15 (S) Recce in the Journals: http://ww2talk.com/index.php?threads/reconnaissance-journal.28896/page-4#post-698534
Thank you so much Tony56 . I will closely look into these documents. With greatest respect Daddy didn;t talk about his time during WW2. Though once when he had a few drams (of whiskey) very late one night, he did tell me how he got his MM and that's why the discovery of Car_Commander's post with daddy's photo receiving his MM from his hero General Montgomery made me almost cry. I am trying to piece together his time with "C" Squadron and using "Scottish Lion on Patrol: 15th Scottish Reconnaissance Regiment" as a reference. Again hugest thanks Tony56
Thank you very much Recce_Mitch for your welcome. As a Very Senior Member forgive me if will ask to many questions for my web page to Daddy, but as an SEO (search engine optimiser) I am trying to the document in a way, the legendary 15th Scottish Reconnaissance Regt (and daddy's other regt) with info and photos
