Discussion in 'Books, Films, TV, Radio' started by armourersergeant, Oct 31, 2004.

  1. I have been given a book called the second year of the war in pictures which seems to be a first edition . Printed by Oldhams press Ltd. I am ytring to find out if they hold any value or are in ready circulation as a friend has offered them to me and i do not wish to take them from him if they are valuable. They belonged to his father who has recently died.

    any help appreciated

Millions of copies were produced. Most of the collections have been spilt up over the years.

They would only be worth around 30 - 50 as an entire set.

  3. thanks for the reply, i should also say its six volumes not seven.

I'd agree that at the moment not very "valuable" but great books... I can remember only a few years ago when you could get WW1 books of this type very cheaply, but now...

So, the moral is - get them while you can!
