Some/any information on the following would be appreciated: ABF 293 WOAS FORIN82 Would LSGCM be retained following FGCM? ACI 629/39 X, Y and Z Lists Does (PS) relate to Permanent Staff? All with respect to my grandad's records - http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/italy/5769-thomas-mcquaters-roxburgh-qoch-rsf.html Thanks in advance. Roxy
WOAS = Whilst On Active Service LSGCM = Long Service General Conduct Medal FGCM = Field General Court Martial Steve W.
WOAS - When/Whilst On Active Service. ACI 629/39 Army Council Instruction No 629 of 1939 X,Y and Z lists employment status ABF Army Book, Form 293 -Leave pass LSGCM Long Service and Good Conduct medal - Field General Court Martial PS (what does it relate too?)
Would the CQMS have to put in a return for leave for his troops? My grandad was reprimanded for an incorrect quarterly return of ABF 293. Thanks for WOAS! FORIN82 is written in bold on some of his documents. Grandad was awarded LSGCM but convicted following FGCM - would he have forfeited the medal? Happy with ACI - what was ACI 629/39? X list = active service / Y list = sick / Z list reserve? He was posted to No 11 ITC(PS) - would that have been as Permanent Staff? It relates to my grandad's service - I put a link to the thread relating to him. Roxy
No 11 Infantry Training centre (Permanent Staff) ACI 629/39 I imagine that will only be discovered by luck on another document, or by the archive for ACIs. As CQMS and head of that department he would have signed off leave passes for his staff for Company or equivalent commanders signature.
Last attempt to gain some info: If convicted at FGCM would you forfeit your LSGCM? Anyone got a clue about FORIN82? I promise I'll give in after this! Roxy
