Service and Paybook Scans

Hi Alex,
I`ve just stumbled across this fascinating page.

Do you have any paybook or other type of information for my Grandfather: 4198919 Fusilier Glyn Edwards. He was originally a Royal Welch Fusilier then posted to 8th Bn Royal Fusiliers in Italy December 1943. Killed in action - 24th Jan 1944.

I have applied for and am still awaiting information and service records from the relevant authorities.

If your message is for AB64 you likely haven’t read the post I made 17th May 2024 before you posted it.

It clearly states that Alistair passed away earlier this year.

Many thanks for replies. This is all very new to me and nearing 80 years old a bit daunting! The reason I'm trying to get some info is because a dear friend who emigrated to Australia many years ago has asked for my help. He knows of my interest in the Death Railway. His uncle is/was Stephen Reardon. He rarely mentioned his time as a POW, never had any family. It seems that my friend was clearing his loft and found a few cards from his uncle Steve which sparked his interest in finding out more about him. Hence my involvement and request. I just feel the memory of what these men/women went through should not be forgotten so I'm trying to do my bit so that his details can be passed on. Thanks again for any help.

Hi Gents, New to the forum, trying to fill out a few paybooks, notable a Gordon Highlander OR/NCO, a Gordon Highlander ATS and a Royal Ulster Rifles.

The photobucket link no longer works and reading through this treat it appears the gentleman who originally scanned it is now deceased. Can anyone help me access this database?
