    Hello Forum members,
This is my second request for information on the names on the Perth Academy War Memorial. I have checked the local newspaper (Perthshire Advertiser) in Perth Library, but haven't found anything. The only information I have is shown below, and I am wondering if anyone can help me with information about Sgt. Cameron, or his squadron, around the time of his death.
    Name: CAMERON, PATRICK
    Initials: P
    Nationality: United Kingdom
    Rank: Sergeant (Air Gunner)
    Regiment/Service: Royal Air Force
    Unit: 178 Squadron
    Age: 22
    Date of Death: 14/06/1944
    Service No: 573311
Additional information: Son of Dr Patrick and Jenny Cameron, Perth.
    Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
    Grave/Memorial Reference: Coll. grave 4. B. 1-5.
    Cemetery: CHOLOY WAR CEMETERY, FRANCE.

    Many thanks,
    Dave

    Dave,

Thank you so much! And so quick as well. Just what I am looking for, and so interesting for the pupils to find out something about the person behind the name.

    Thanks again,
    Dave
