BBC NEWS | World | Europe | Serbia captures fugitive Karadzic Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect Radovan Karadzic, one of the world's most wanted men, has been arrested in Serbia after more than a decade on the run. Good, now hang the ******!
Owen, you may not agree with me but also do not forget to hang those albanians that killed not less serbians than this Radovan
Before we go down this road, can I say that this is potentially a very sensitive issue and whilst good discussion is encouraged, flame wars wont be. Lets keep this one civil please!! (I know that nothing has happened yet, but just reminding folks!)
Owen, you may not agree with me but also do not forget to hang those albanians that killed not less serbians than this Radovan There are many men (and women) walking quite freely and "unwanted" who also deserve this fate due to their activities of the early 1990's (although "destiny" has caught up with quite a few outside of the courthouses over the past 10 years or so) - a list would be impossible to produce. Karadzic deserves to swing (if for nothing else, then for "crimes against coifferie" !!!), but to call him (in the article) "the Osama bin Laden of Europe" is a little exaggerated - the man who deserves that title is ,unfortunately, quite free to get on with his life unmolested. dave

(I know that nothing has happened yet, but just reminding folks!) yo, Gott, I'm not trying to start any holy war but trying to remind me and others that not only serbians got their hands in blood... When someone showing me albanians or kosovars like innocent victitms of terrible serbians savages I can't stand still Just remember drug traffic that is flowing thru Kosovo area to Europe etc. And of course Kosovo accident gave another nations chance to be independent like those South Osethia or Abhazia, but EU not hurring up to stand that they got rights to be independent.. That's the world of dirty politics... Of course if there was crime there must be a punishment too, but do not punish only one side.. as said someone war have no winners and no only victims.

Dead I dont have an issue at all with your post mate!!! Nor with Owen's!! I was merely pointing out that this has the potential to be a subject that can get heated and I was merely asking people to remember that before diving in and posting something that could be taken the wrong way!!!

Sorry, seems that I was reading and typing too fast let's see others opinions
'Crimes against coiffure' indeed Dave... They must have always known where he was by the unusually high Hairspray sales at the local chemists. Vendettas? Bad blood? Unresolved & on-going hatreds? Murky morality, & war-crime blame on both (multiple!) sides? In the Balkans??? Former Yugoslavia... Shurely shome mishtake... Long way to go before that 1990's mess is finally tidied up, or even understood, let alone the thousand other 'situations' present in that arena since the troublesome birth of half the countries involved.
Heck of a disguise though, seems the full set & hair is all the rage among those hiding out from justice of late:
Mmm, a full beard seems de riguer for mass murderers/deposed leaders in hiding. Lets hope they get Ratko Mladic next. I know there are those on either side are not innocent, I just hope they get what they deserve/coming to them.
The Balkans is one area that will never be peaceful entirely. They are always one bottle of Schnapps and a joint away from full blown war.

Personally I believe that the Tito era only kept a lid on the ethnic conflict - without him this would have sparked off in 1945 with what consequences? The Allies would have been more forceful with their "peacekeeping" as the rules of engagement would have been much more ruthless; however the opportunity for the Soviets to have a power base in Yugoslavia would have been far greater - a distinct possibility for World War 3 - the whole region has been known for its painful birth of countries - just look at the Balkan Wars of the early 20th century (atrocities) the Great War (more atrocities) & of course WW2 with the Chetniks & Tito's partisans committing atrocities on each other without any German urging Bloody funny people if you ask me Chris
Firmly agree about Tito Chris, no matter what one may think of him and his methods he did manage to keep a lid on an awful lot of strange and circular hatreds for a long time in a way that nobody else ever achieved.
BBC NEWS | World | Europe | Serbia pressed to capture Mladic Ratko looks like the 2 bit murderer that he is
Firmly agree about Tito Chris, no matter what one may think of him and his methods he did manage to keep a lid on an awful lot of strange and circular hatreds for a long time in a way that nobody else ever achieved. Probably his greatest legacy was to ensure that at least one generation was spared the sores of open war.
Is this Sebia really wanting to move on from it's past or them sacrificing Karadzic in order to obtain the benefits of EU membership? Just reading about another wanted man, Goran Hadzic. Goran Hadzic - Indictment
Is this Sebia really wanting to move on from it's past or them sacrificing Karadzic in order to obtain the benefits of EU membership? You know what? I was thinking the same thing. It wouldnt surprise me. Very pragmatic outlook by the serbs. Now lets see if the Serbs are as willing to hand over Mladic or if they can even find him.
