This is a shot in the dark, but I'm hoping that someone can provide information about my grandfather, Albert W Weeks # 762557, if not the unit in which he served. Some brief information I have about him is as follows:

He enlisted Jan 6, 1926 at 16 yrs old as a gunner. Then served in Royal Signal Corp on the coast of France as a lineman in 1939, 1940. Then in Malaya with the Signal Corps, followed by N. Africa in 1942. He was wounded and discharged from the army with the rank of Captain.

    Thank you

You might like to search the London Gazette site for Albert Weeks. initial search found this entry; Viewing Page 5938 of Issue 35306 which may or may not be your man. If he was promoted it will be in the Gazette somewhere.

I forwarded this link to my uncle and he confirmed that it my grandfather. How did you find his name so quickly? He must me in there again when he was promoted to Captain.

A big thanks to both of you for pointing me in the right direction for more information
