    Hi

There are plenty of records of individuals serving on units that weren't part of the same corps.

EG. Cooks on Parachute Regiments are ACC not AAC.

So I would suggest, just to be thorough, that everyone extends their searches beyond the RASC.

    Hope I am making sense.

    Hmmmm - more questions

There are 5 family trees on Ancestry for Henry Coultas Milner but none of them show a Cyril/Frank/Francis born to either of Henry's 2 wives.

Could you also copy the right hand end of the marriage certificate as its missing on the copy you sent

You’ve got my fathers date and name correct, which I obviously know already. His mother who you’ve correctly said was born on the dates above. Her maiden name was Chambers. I have her marriage certificate to my Dads father which took place in Belfast.

It might be worth picking up a copy of the death cert above as it might include a middle name or initial, thereby confirming or not if this person is related [or not]

I’ve been told by a family member that he was 23yrs 11 months when he died. 27th April 1939. I am hoping they have a death cert. I am visiting said family at the weekend and hope to get more info as he did a family tree/trace on his wife RI Chambers.

Francis Cyril is on his death cert supposedly. Frank must be the shortened version he went by.

Good find Tony - no wonder CWGC was proving difficult, the date is pre-war.

    "BELFAST SOLDIER’S FATE.

Frank Milner (23), Estoril Park (Glenard estate), serving member of the Royal Army Service Corps, was carried in dead the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, last night. He was gas-poisoning victim. He was alone, his wife and child ...
28 April 1939 - Northern Whig - Belfast, Antrim, Northern Ireland"

    Anyone got FMP subscription?
