The CWGC Cert tells: Sergeant WILLIAM HUDSON 1113431, 69 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died age 22 on 02 September 1943 Son of William Fawcett Hudson and Martha Adalina Hudson, of Widnes, Lancashire. Can you supply any further details, his mothers maiden name? date & place of birth? names of brothers or sisters? I can look to see if any surviving siblings/nephews or nieces can be tracked in the BMD records.
Freda EnglandPhil is your best call, he is researching the Widnes War Memorial he may have further supporting information or be able to point you in the right direction so you can complete your search.

Please contact me if you can help. Freda Joyce Freda, I cant help with any living relatives, as not done any indepth searches on your father, what I can tell you from the details I have on file (supplied by Peter Clare) is that he was flying a Martin Maltimore Bomber, serial number FA456, when it collided with a Spitfire Fighter (EN507), near Luga on Malta, on the 2nd September 1943. I would welcome any information that you have on your father Freda, and have sent you a pm. Phil
It turned out that the William Hudson that Joyce thought for many years was her father wasnt. But, we did manage to track down her real father, who sadly had died, but his brother, and infact Joyce's half brother are still alive Joyce Willett finally tracks down real father William Hudson following lifetime search - Runcorn and Widnes Weekly News

Cheers Oldman, Drew & Pete, this is actually the second one know. I was contacted by the Grandson of one of the Widnes casualties, who had not seen his mother due since he was six, due his parents splitting up, and him staying with his father in the Midlands. He wanted to know what happened to his mother, but assumed that she would have died as she would be nearly 90. With some help we / he managed to find his mother alive and well on the Wirral, although it came as quite as a shock to her after all these years. She had remarried and had 4 children, none of whom knew about her 1st son, and whilst they agreed to stay in touch they agreed iot wasnt a good idea to meet and raise all this with her current family. But at least he found out where she was. Phil
