Hello all, Had so much help from my previous posts I thought I might try asking if anyone can help with South Africa's involvement. Have had some response from the SA Military History Museum. I am especially interested in the 6th SA Armoured Division in Italy, but I'm still searching for diaries, photos etc., of those who served in. And if anyone has anything that can be reproduced in my book that would be great. Thanks every one.
Sandra, It appears that there are many threads here when searching with: 6th South African Division + ww2talk.com site:ww2talk.com or 6th South african armoured Division + site:ww2talk.com I only quickly looked at this, which refers to a book was forthcoming in 2009: South Africans at War?
Looking for something else South African I came across this online 2012 article: 'How the story of the South African experience in the Italian campaign was recorded - and distorted' by James Bourhill. The Abstract states: Link: How the story of the South African experience in the Italian campaign was recorded - and distorted I have PM'd Sandra to alert her.
