A few additions the the WW2 search engine: (i) Award search added. You can only search for one award at a time and enter with spaces between letters. Example: M C (ii) Citation search. Enter words as required. All words must match, in any order (iii) Changes to the Included field- This is the additional Info field in the record. Include all words: Enter words as required with a space between each. Words will be matched in any order (this is the AND function) Include exact phrase: Find exact word or phrase. Not Including: Rejects records with this exact word or phrase. All three of these fields must match to find a record. cheers, geoff
Fantastic resource! Thanks Geoff, you are one in a million! 1 in 7 billion, it seems... World population - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hey Geff, Can you explain Citation search little bit more. I want information about it. You can search for any word or words that appear in the Citation field For example, this thread was based on searches found for various words relating to the subject: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/geoffs-search-engine/42388-mills-etc-bombs-accidents.html#post472250
Search engines are down. My web hosting company has 'upgraded' my account. Now they don't work. Hope it is temporary.
Is it a PHP upgrade issue Geoff? May be. Don't think it's bothered on php versions but may be something simple like file permissions. Since I cannot log on, I cannot tell! I'll leave it a while in case stuff is still migrating. Then join the tech support queue at a tenner per hour or whatever! geoff
Fingers crossed that the hosts haven't screwed it up too much and all will be bacl online shortly. Now back online.
