    Adam,

I found this in an old book of mine, Tanks and other AFV's of the Blitzkrieg era.

I seem to recall reading a long time ago that this vehicle and other similar armoured cars started life as secret military projects and the cover story was that they were Police vehicles.
I believe that they were tested in the Soviet union at the same time as Luftwaffe pilots were also secretly being trained in Russia.

Attached are a couple of pages that you may find interesting. One is the chassis and the other the write up.

I think that there is a British firm manufacturing a 1/6 scale Puma with 75mm Pak! Ready made or kit, but costs an arm and a leg!

    Regards

    Tom

Trying to find more info on 234 series vehicles that have survived to the present - proving harder than one might expect (largely as the Shadock doesn't seem to have got around to it yet.)
    234/3 preserved at Bovington:

    A 234/4 at Munster.

Looks like there might be one or two at Kubinka.
Doesn't seem to be one in the Aberdeen lists?? That would surprise me.

Any more? Seems to be an uncommon survivor even beyond the usually rare German gear.
Sure I recall a chassis being found on an Eastern European farm a while back...

    Edit:

Hmm, the guy on top must know more than the guys below, he's looking in a different direction... But then maybe the guys below outrank him so he's screwed anyway. That's life for ya!

That is an odd survivor. Looks to be an Austrian Fiat-Ansaldo M1930
