Hello All, i'm Kathryn and new to the WW2 talk forum. I am a living historian who presents history talks and displays in Schools in SW Scotland - I do everything from Celts & Romans to WW2 and I present World War 2 displays in Home Guard (6th Batallion Ayrshire Home Guard) kit. I am a re-enactor too and currently 'do' German portraying a soldier of the 17th Luftwaffen Feld Division. My passion for WW2 came out of a look into my family history and I discovered that my paternal Grandad served with 477 Battery, 112th Field Regiment Royal Artillery (43rd Wessex Wyverns) - he left behind a hand written diary of the early days of his war in Normandy and a list of places his campaign took him to. My maternal Grandad served with the South Lancashire Regiment and I believe he was with the 1st Batallion on Sword Beach D-Day. I am hoping to do more research through the WW2 talk forum and hopefully learn more, especially about my Grand fathers units. Many thanks and hello. Kathryn
