Holy smoke! As a kid I watched every launch I could, which meant that I had to get up eaaarly. and of course it was BW.

There was one (1) channel only, but they ran an all-night special for Apollo

 

Don't forget, the all-up Saturn V had never been launched with people in it before this moment....Apollo VII used a Saturn 1B...

Absolutely right. Formal development on the Saturn V began in January 1961, first test flight November 1967.
