With remembrance day just a few weeks away, and thoughts of the many soldiers/theatres which took part in both world wars and other conflicts since, i thought this amazing sculpture appropriate.

    Nice sculpture.

However my inner nerd cannot help noticing that the sculpture shows landing craft of men with what look like British assault helmets, but has been built near Vierville on Omaha Beach.

i thought the sculpture was very representive and symbolic to the many hundreds of thousands of troops sent overseas in convoys etc to land and fight on foreign soils and not just necessary Normandy.
