    Hello.

I am trying to track down the location of the San Angelo Rest Centre in Southern Italy. The father of a chum was a Padre there and I am keen to pinpoint where it is. He was Padre there from May 44 so it must be somewhere south of the Gustav Line.

Tom and Ron - any experience of this Camp during your travels?

    Regards

only time I was ever near a rest centre down that way was after discharge from Hospital in Catania was going by rail to Torre Annunziatta on the Amalfi coast just South of Naples for a luxurious week of doing nothing but swim - eat and

sleep…unbelievable for the Army - no idea what it was called though… didn't bother to ask either... too busy enjoying it…this was the back end of January '45...

    Cheers

My only recollections of enjoying a rest camp were recorded on Page 35 of my Army Album (See attached)

I see that I referred to it as the Bty Rest Camp but don't get thrown by the, perhaps, misleading title.

It was, however, very definitely at TERMOLI and I did enjoy the swimming in the sea.
