Wasn't sure which heading to put this under?

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Flight Officer Francis Alfred Philip Hoskins DFC at the grand age of 93.
We have little details of Francis's time with 102, only that he was gazetted on the 28th Dec 1943. We are looking into this and hope to be able to give more details very soon. Francis lived in Bristol, and worked as the publican of the Kings Arm's for many years.
His funeral will be held in Weston Super Mare on the 26th September 2011. If anyone has any details of Francis's time with 102, or you would like details of the funeral would you please contact the 102 Squadron WEBMASTER, and we will pass on your request to the family.
I am sure we speak for the whole of the 102 Squadron Association when we say how deeply sorry we are hear of F/O Hoskins passing, much love and grace to all the family at this sad time.

    Update on F/O Hoskins.
We now believe that he started with 75 Sqn fliying Wellingtons and around September of 1943 transfered to 102.
According to a close relative, he remembers F/O Hoskins talking about trying to get to 100 missions, he believe's he achieved 90.. because he has recolections of Frank talking about starting a FOURTH tour!
Staggering stuff... I am sure there is more to come as we hear from more family members.
R.I.P. Frank, your memory will live on...

    Bump - no apologies..

Frank will be laid to rest at 12.30 tomorrow (26th).
There will be a Union Jack placed over his coffin and all being well there will be a guard of honour at the enterance to the church.
A retired RAF S/L is going to be there, but sadly no one from 102 sqd lives close enough to attend, although our thoughts will be with all the family I am sure.
    RIP Frank.
