Sad news, Denise Dael has died

    Sad news from Ieper, Denise Dael has died, for many visitors to the last Post ceremony she was a figure at the Menin Gate and was at the opening in 1927.

    She attended nearly every night and she could remember when the Nazis were in power and the first ceremony on the day that they were booted out.

    Very fond of WW1 priest Fr Doyle, I like to feel that she is at last having a nioce chat with him
