Watched a film called 'Pathfinders' last night.....biggest load of sh**e i've ever seen...do not bother to watch. Very very poor acting, obviuosly filmed in America and not Normandy/England. Lighting throughout the film is very dark making it difficult to see whats going on. Blah blah blah.... very disappointed
This one? You know, it depends, a baaaaad film can easily walk into legend, see the Battle of the Bulge, for an instance As for the film being too dark, the first time I saw the great Peckinpah's Cross of Iron was a 16mm copy on a 35mm screen. Until I saw it a second time I was convinced the entire film was all at night
It's a shame you thought it was rubbish. I saw the trailer and was looking forward to watching it. Cheers for the heads up but I guess it's each to their own.
Thanks for the heads up I nearly ordered that a couple of times. Should stick to my own rule about not buying films on Blue-ray or dvd till i have seen them on sky.
Whow! I don't think I've ever seen a movie on IMDB that didn't have a least a single positive review, until now. Could this unseat Pearl Harbor as the worst war movie ever? Pathfinders: In the Company of Strangers (2011) - IMDb
I watched a bit of that on Movie2k several months ago and turned it off after 20 minutes. It's one of those things (I can't bring myself to call it a movie) you watch while you keep thinking well it can't get worse and perhaps it will get better and your continually wrong on both accounts. Just for interest sake I checked out the reviews and I learned something, what a "Shill" is. A few of them writing reviews for this "fecal nugget".
June 5th, 1944... A secret mission is launched prior to the D-Day Invasion. A small elite group of American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines and land right in the lap of the German Infantry. They are outnumbered, unsupported, and racing against the clock. Their sole duty is to stay alive long enough in order to find a strategic location and set up the Top Secret Navigation Equipment needed to guide in the main airborne assault on D-Day. Failure means the lives of thousands. This elite group of American paratroopers is a mix of renegades from different military units. They are strangers to one another, thrown together at the last minute, with no time to prepare and with two different Commanding Officers. This is a recipe for disaster. It is a violation of all the rules of warfare and only a miracle is going to make this mission work. Based on actual events. This untold story of these men, their mission and the facts behind it, has remained hidden for over 60 years. What can go wrong with a recipe like this? All right, I found this in ze tube, I'll give it a browse tonight. I'm already drooling with expectation
Come on, it can't be that bad. Telly Savalas isn't in it. Telly Savalas Looks At Birmingham - YouTube
I dare say "Jack Boots in Whitehall" is a masterpiece when compared with the "fecal nugget". On the other hand I look forward to seeing some of these; Frankenstein's Army Promo Trailer 1 - YouTube Iron Sky (2011) trailer HD - YouTube Project Arbiter Trailer 1 - YouTube Der Goldene Nazivampir von Absam 2 Trailer - YouTube Some of these look pretty amusing.

Worst film ever! Jackboots on Whitehall Trailer - YouTube That looks brilliant...can't wait to watch it!:p
Za This one? You know, it depends, a baaaaad film can easily walk into legend, see the Battle of the Bulge, for an instance Too true , so bad it is a legend as far as bad movies go Henry Fonda, wins the battle , saves Antwerp and wins the war.....with a little help from Teo Kojak. Sky movies "for men" show some real shockers....... ( not the late night moaning and groaning ones ....I admit they are so awful...not that I have watched any of them for more than 2 or 3 micro seconds) but the "war" movies so bad ...today for 20 minutes I watched Admiral Carnaris helping Himmler send hypnotised German soldiers out to kill The Allied Supreme Commander so they could stall the invasion and gain time for Abhwer to find out the date and time of the invasion......... the man who would kill "Ike".... none other than Rommel who would go over to the Allies "to talk". A movie full of black uniformed white shirted SS armed with MP-40's, attractive "she wolves" in black skits white shirts, swastika arm bands all "nursing" these brainwashed German soldiers who had been implanted with an Allied identity to go kill "Ike". All this in badly dubbed english...........
I picked up Pathfinder's in my local Tesco the other month in the bargain bin but still haven't watched it yet, looks like i won't be but maybe will have to just to see how bad it is. Talking about bad films have you watched the awful "Ages of Heroes" directed and starred Sean Bean now that is one terrible film.
James, how I miss James Mason, Anthony Quayle, Peter O'Toole, Michael Caine, Dirk Bogarde, Rex Harrison (even outside a war context, remember The Ghost and Mrs Muir?), etc, etc, just to stay in the Isles!

Elite unit created from renegades, behind enemy lines, outnumbered by the enemy, on very important mission isn't something you'll see every day in movies. Don't know why but somehow I have feeling that they will won in the end.
