hi i am phil,And i am trying to find out if anyone might know my grandfather. He served in the royal core of signals in ww2 and i would also like to find out about him. I am fairly new to this and haven't had much luck. His name was francis (frank) henry cooper and all i know is that he served some time in north africa and italy. And i think he may have been attatched to the american air force in italy any help on this would be gratefully recieved many thanks

    Hi Phil,
I moved your query to it's own thread.

    Hi Phil,

Like clive has suggested, if you haven't already get a copy of his service records and they will tell you what units he was with and when. You can then look up his units war diaries at the National Archives.
