Royal Navy Service Records For The WWII Period Available

    After discussions with The National Archives and the submission of FoI requests to the MoD, it is clear that the complete records of RN ratings who enlisted prior to about 1925 are now available to TNA for accession (digitization). Many of these records will cover the WWII period and beyond. Note that this does not include hostilities only ratings, i.e. those conscripted for war service, only pre-war regulars, whose partial service records to 1929 are already available.     I'm looking for some help. Any idea where I should I look for records of my father? He was RNVR and injured during D-Day landings. Other than that, nothing and sadly he went to his grave without telling any of his kids what happened.
