Hi There was a Royal Engineers Bridging Camp at Pangbourne, near Reading in 1940 and 1941 at least. It seems it also operated/practiced at Shillingford. I am trying to find out more about it, which unit or formation it was part of, where exactly it was based etc. A number of RE units passed through there to practice bridging, staying for a couple of weeks. Any details or references appreciated. I've not managed to find it in Kew. Cheers Skoyen89

Skoyen89 Are you sure its not 5th Bridging School? there were several about the country. It could well be. Any idea where their records would be at Kew?
