Royal Engineers/Artillery etc

  1. From my experience when compliling my book on the first world war (took 11 years to complete) I found that trying to "pin" down the whereabouts of any RE or RA batteries etc impossible Ubique being very appropriate, trying to research ww2 soldiers on my war memorial who served and died in various companies of the above, is it worth listing them here in the hope that some one in this forum may be able to help ? Any advice gratefully accepted. Thank you. Ralph.

    Start a thread for each one with their name , numbers & anything else you know.
    The more you give the easier it is for us to help & also use the search function on the forum, the info may already be on here.

  3. Owen. Will do, just thought it may be a bit cheeky asking for this information, makes it seem like I have not tried myself, but believe me I have , obviously not looking in the right place or it is not "on line". Ralph.
