    Hi Tom

    Thanks for getting those.

I'll draw up a list, but do you realise there are 105 Headstones (less the ones you've taken):)

I won't be offended if you say no, as that's a fair bit of work. I'll only draw up a list if you want it. Please let me know.

    Cheers - Rob

Just like their motto "Ubique". Sadly, they are everywhere.:poppy:

I will put together that list.

I hope this helps - headstone in Townsville war cemetery, Queensland Australia

Son of John and Louisa Holder; husband of Gertrude Mary Holder, of Churchdown, Gloucestershire.

Since I started thinking about this guy in relation to my recent thread, I thought I would see what I could find out about him.

Interestingly enough, the National Archives of Australia has a couple of files on him - neither of which have been digitised as yet.

There are no notes on them either and the titles are curious:

5179631 Gunner HOLDER, H - No 5 Regiment Maritime Royal Artillery [Box 123]

[HOLDER Harry : Service Number - 5179631 : Unit - 5th Regiment Maritime Royal Artillery, Australian Military Forces : Date of Court Martial - 5 July 1944]

Makes you wonder, what was he doing in Australia, why was he court-martialled by the Australian military in July 1944 and how did he die in October 1944??
