This officer as pilot and captain of aircraft has completed numerous operations against the enemy, in the course of which he has invariably displayed the utmost fortitude, courage and devotion to duty.

Flying Officer Henry Dixon, a Hurricane Pilot from 145 Squadron flying out of RAF Tangmere. He was shot down during the second of two sorties over Dunkirk and later died from his wounds on 3 June at No.12 CCS . He was badly burned after his parachute caught fire as he bailed out.
