Roy Chadwick. +60 years on the 23rd August

    Just a small remembrance of the man whose skill in designing the Lancaster saved many allied aircrew in WW2.

    Killed in a post-war flying accident.

    Roy Chadwick, born in Widnes, contemplating adding a small tribute at the end of my research to both Chadwick and Air Marshall Sir Edward 'Tap' Jones, who was also a native of Widnes

    And thus ended the great Chadwick/Dobson parntership that gave the RAF so much,
    perhaps the City of Lincoln BBMF Lancaster flying is in its self a tribute to the old red rose/white rose partnership.
