    Hi,

I have obtained my grandfathers service records - #2589371, and am interested to see if anyone has further information on the below - or indeed can point me in the direction of diaries, pictures etc etc. As you can see, its quite patchy - he seemed to move units a lot? Also there were some indiscretions along the way... I have left out the period 1940-1944 and some rather major ones deliberately... I know enough about them. The pillow case incident is slightly amusing though!

I would search the National Archieves for the units war diaries, if you go to the portal option on the main tool bar and in the bottom left hand corner is a search engine use that to look up his units war diaries.
