This is taken from the War Diary of the 10th Indian Division Counter Mortar Organisation and considering it was 70 years ago I thought it might be of interest to some of the members. I have transcribed the resume as it was difficult to read in its original form.
The Commanding Officer was Maj J E Lefevre of the South African Artillery. My father was posted to the CMO in August 1944 and trained as a Switchboard Operator. He stayed with them until the Organisation was disbanded in July 1945.

Fascinating material Diane. I have just this week been looking at the Counter Mortar organisation for Operation Plunder, the crossing of the Rhine. It has the same elements including the 4 pen recorder, phantom or superposing on existing telephone lines and the use of AA radar. Much the same date since the Rhine Crossing started March 24th.
