Restored Bren Carriers

    here's the remains of a loyd carrier still on a hillside in western scotland, it was used to build a water pipe line in the late sixties but the engine siezed and it was abandoned where it stopped, i plan to recover it if the owner is agreeable.

    How's your mound of British armour going, Rick?
    Saw something on HMVF but haven't followed too closely.

    100 tons of old iron and still counting :)
    should have the cromwell and bren carrier at beltring this year.

    Excellent stuff. I just need scuba diving gear or a REALLY dry summer to recover a Bren Carrier from a reservoir in Wales...

    As always Rick following your restoration adventures with sheer admiration.

    oh man ! you shouldn't go telling me about things like that, now you've got me intrigued. i've just bought a leyland daf 4 tonner which i'm in the process of fitting a crane to for just such occasions, are you up for a recovery job ? :)

    i have tons of carrier spares and some great contacts i can pass onto you should you need it :)
