I am researching a man who had joined the Coldstream Guards in 1934 and was then put into the Army Reserve in 1938. What I'm trying to find out is the whereabouts of the 2nd Coldstream Guards between 1934 and 1938. Also I have his service papers which I am trying to decipher.
Can anyone help with any of the following
1, On him being put into the reserve a E.D. 16 was sent to the Ministry of Labour where he lived. What is a E.D. 16?
    2. The following was sent in February 1939. Mob Docs AB64(1) AND (2) and ID Docs to Officer of Records, Corps of M.P., Mytchett Hutments. D461 and AB334 to R.P. I know that AB64 was his paybook but what are D461, AB334 and R.P?
Why were these documents sent out to the Military Police? Were they responsible for implementing his call up when war broke out?
Any help whatsoever will be appreciated.

    Hi,

If you use the below link and put Coldstream Guards in the search box you will see Howard & Sparrow CG History 1920/1946 is available for free download.

It will show 2nd CG whereabouts.

Sorry can't help with other queries.

    Regards
