    Hello all,

I've come across an African star engraved "M20334 J Rooskrans" and i'm keen to find out more about this person. I am aware that this is part of a set that has been broken up as the remainder is for sale on a South african collectors site.

I'm not familiar with researching SA personnel so would appreciate any tips to get me started.

    Thanks,
    Mac.

A search of CWGC suggests that the M prefix indicates service in the Indian and Malay Corps, S.A. Forces or possibly Cape Corps, S.A. Forces or Native Military Corps, S.A. Forces. The Observation Post is a good source to explore.

N.B. Details of the other medals might provide someone with some inspiration.
