    Hi Again everyone,
I hope you can help with info on My wife's father. He didn't serve in WW2 as he passed out in 1946. We believe this is a photo from HMS St Georges, Gosport. Mess 10 Montagu class.
His name was Sidney Herbert Cooper and we believe he served until 1953 or '54 (possibly even '55)
When he left the service he was a Chief Petty Officer and we believe he was an aircraftsman on Seafires.
We don't know which ships he served on but all the photos have aircraft with the Q marking on them.
We would really appreciate any help that can be given.
Is it still ok to ask for this info here?
We have about 15 photos from his time in the Navy that I will gladly share if someone would like to point me in the direction of the best place to upload them.

Here is his passing out photo. Sidney is sitting on the front row, 2nd from the left.

It's ok to post more photos here; we are always interested in seeing them. You can always start an album and post a link to them on this thread. If you go to your profile page, you can see the album area on there.

We have just been told that of the photos we have of Seafires (like this one showing PR348) is from 802 squadron on HMS Vengence 1947 - 48
