While looking for more on those Bulgarian tanks I came across this on HMVF, looks like the plan is to have a 'proper' and convincing replica rather than the (admittedly good) ones currently running around:
Historic Military Vehicles Forum - - The first Tiger 1 has been sold to a reenactor.

I'd heard rumours that Kevin Wheatcroft was going to be producing replicas after restoring the Aberdeen Tiger 1 but this seems to be a German company:
Historic Military Vehicles Forum - Breaking news - Tiger tanks to be produced once more.

"We could also manufacture the tiger II. "...

I think they're a German film company, but their website is somewhat tantalising:
    Tecnobaltic

    Fingers crossed.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

How're they doin' the hulls? Machined from solid in BD3? :D

1000 bhp's gonna exaggerate the performance a bit, nicht wahr?

    Regards,

From: Why build a model Tiger when you can OWN one? - FineScale.com Forums
Here writes Karl-Heinz Dorenkamp from Tecnobaltic ltd. / germany, we are the company how builds the Tiger-Replica. I have seen your comment in the forum and I would like to inform you. We are a drawing office in the range machine building and vehicle manufacturing / automotive and between our day-to-day business I've begun with the computer-aided design construction from the Tiger I and the Kingstiger in June 07 and I thing we will be ready to the end of the Year. We have resolved parallel to the complete replica version, to offering a low cost version from the tiger, we offer the tiger in 3 sections as assembly set, the basis Kit is for the hull he contains all plates for the outer side of the tiger, the second kit of the undercarriage and the third kit is the turret. Most collectors has some skilled mechanics that can weld and construct the Tiger with these kits and with a entry price of 60.000,- € for the hull- kit it will be more possible to be own a Tiger. For all interested people I have set up a Web page http://www.tecnobaltic.de.vu/ At the moment the Web page is still under construction but folks could contact us and can see a little bit from the CAD-Construction. Best wishesKarl-Heinz

Far from cheap, but a snip compared to a real one ;).
I do hope it isn't a hoax, the chap at HMVF seems convinced.

How much do you think, really, 60K Euros??? i dont think so. One off's built to spec. A lot of companies are doing this now. With racing bikes and cars you can have replica of a famaous racer for around 90-150K. I think you looking at here around 200K plus. Probably compares favourably with restoration.

That 60K is for the kit version of the Hull alone Kev, I think we can safely say the turret and running gear will cost substantially more, and if you want them to build it for you even more on top. I'd go with the '+' of your €200k+ ;).
God knows how much a genuine Tiger would go for, if non-running rusty old Pz.IV's & Panthers can go for £500k then there's probably only about 4 or 5 collectors worldwide that could afford a Tiger, even if one was found. If this company's for real I think they may actually sell a few.
