I've had a look at this loss and have come up with the following for 159 Squadron for 29 December 1944, with the help of Geoff's Search Engine. I have not found an official crew list for the aircraft. If someone can confirm it would be a help.

    29 December 1944.

    159 Squadron
    Liberator VI KH276 'X'
    Op. Mine Laying.

Took off at 1717 hrs. Shot down by AA fire in bright moonlight, when part of a force of six aircraft laying mines in the Rangoon River estuary. The Liberator fell in flames off Elephant Point.

    Crew?

    F/S. N. Dennerly +
    F/S. J C. Hetherington +
    F/S. R D.Hilton (Rear gunner) +
    F/S. D A. Kelly +
    F/S. R J. Lewis +
    F/S. T V. Raine +
    W/O. A J L. Stewart (Captain) +

Apart from W/O. A J L. Stewart and F/S. Hilton I do not know of the others crew positions. There was a possible crew list of 9. All are commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.

Movement history of Liberator VI KH276

To India, arriving at Karachi 8 October 1944
    To 159 Squadron
Shot down by flak off Elephant Point 29 December 1944.
Struck off Charge 25 January 1945.
