    The Bays - 2nd AB were warned about the presence of some 88mm's awaiting them near Gemmano when they went to relieve 7th AB in the middle of September by Major Stu Hamilton of 8th RTR - unfortunately they wandered into a killing ground and lost heavily - they didn't recover too well from that and their whole Division- 1st AD was broken up shortly afterwards
