    Hi Clive,

    Robert was lost with a small group of other Kingsmen whilst moving away from the original Chindit base code named 'Broadway'. It is probable that they were caught out and separated from the main group when the column was ambushed by a Japanese patrol.

    Their intended destination was the stronghold "Blackpool', where many of his 1st KLR comrades fought in conditions not unlike those of WW1.

    Attached is a missing in action report from the battalion's records at TNA.
