    Took off from Tempsford at 2037 hrs on Operation Wheelwright 50 and set course for France. Poor weather forced an early return and while attempting to land at Woodbridge airfield, Suffolk the Halifax flew into trees and crashed at 0505 hrs in Tangham Forest near Capel St. Andrew. The two French agents escaped the crash.
