    Joe, Firstly if you wish to research anyone's history in the forces you should start by obtaining their records, this will give you details of their service.
    Get a copy of military service records

    Albert's death was 13 April 1946 and his death is recorded in the civil registers, you could send off for his death certificate. The details are:

    The CWGC site has the following comment:
    "Many of the soldiers buried here died in Bethnal Green Military Hospital. The Screen Wall at the back of the War Graves Plot commemorates by name those buried in the plot or in graves elsewhere in the cemetery which could not be marked by headstones and those who were cremated in the City of London Crematorium."

    Historic Steve Researching 21 Army Group/BAOR post VE day

    The blog 53rd (London) Medium Regiment RA TA not 100% correct post VE Day, 3 AGRA were still in Hamburg 25 Jun 45 and on arrival from 4 AGRA the regiment was stationed in Hamburg-Othmarschen, the move to Wattenscheid west of Bochum was 12 Jul 45, suspended animation for the regiment was 1 Mar 46, details taken from 3 AGRA Kew documentation do not have documentation for the regiment
