    The casualty dates for the 58th on CWGC records are actually not at all accurate for Maroeuil. They were in action there from 22nd to 23rd May. In view of the scale of their losses, it is apparent that there was little recording possible of casualty dates - 352 casualties (not all fatal of course) from an infantry battalion in two days of fighting.
