    In Proud Remembrance of the gallant 350 officers and men of the 7th/9th (Highlanders) Battalion The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) who tenaciously fought from H-hour 3.30 until about midday on 3rd November 1944 and after a fierce and bloody battle captured the heavily fortified German Command Post in the Grand Hotel Britannia, Flushing. 50 Germans were killed and 600 prisoners taken including the Garrison Commander Oberst Reinhart.


    20 Royal Scots were killed that day. Down through the long years their bravery Honoured and Remembered with pride and affection by those who were by their side.
