Hi my grandfather was part of a light aid detachment with the 2div 4th infantry brigade. I was wondering if anybody has any photos of the REME recovering Bren gun carriers in Burma, not necessarily of the above unit. I would like to paint a recovery scene but cant seem to find any pictures on the net. In his diary he notes recovering a carrier 400 yards from a Jap OP, it seem like good and personal subject to paint. Hoping someone could help in this matter. Thanks Jono
Jono May I suggest you contact the Kohima Museum at http://www.kohimamuseum.co.uk/ The curator Bob Cook did an article for Airfix Model World last year and in the same issue was a piece on modelling a 2nd Division amphibious carrier.
