Wow, sounds interesting, do you know the date he was in LIbya? Yes, it was the end of 1944 and probably until Demob. He was in Tripoli according to his Officers record of Service Book. I believe he stationed at the RIASC Training Centre with the IEME. To be honest there are so many non standard acronyms in his service particulars I was leaving this until last thing to research. One of the photos I shared earlier (think its slide 1) has him standing beside another Officer and its states Lybia VE Day+1 on the back, so that puts him there in May 45 also. Below is what i have transcibed from his MSR (some lettering could be wrong). My thinking is that 2 photographs and a written reference refer to Lybia or Tripoli and are dated in this period of his MSR. I.E.M.E 27‐10‐44 to 25‐07‐45 9 months I.E.M.E.
