Hope this helps those of you looking for a location based on a war diary. This one is from 7 AD HQ war diary. I understand the grid numbers were not changed from earlier in 1941.

We are looking at BQMS Hird in Tobruk in the siege months of 1941 .... what date is the war diary this comes from?

He was with 4th Durham Survey Regiment so map is most useful for sorting out where they were.
