    Hi Graham

What are the similarities with your father's record? Were they in the same company?

    Thanks

No, unfortunately they were not in the same RASC company, although it would be great if at some point somebody joins the forum who does have that connection.

The area of interest would be the the section concerning return to the UK by plane and the holding company entry after that. I wanted to be able to read the entries with more certainty before replying and offering you some extra infomation about Operation Dodge and where he may have been demobbed from.

My Father was also flown back from Italy but landed at Newquay rather than Glatton and he was (if a better scan confirms what I think I can read) that we was also demobbed from the same holding company but not untill early 46.

My grandad told us he flew back from Italy on a Lancaster - presumably this was Operation Dodge?

The last unit I can make out is possibly 913 Coy RAK?

Engaging brain - that should be RASC not RAK. Quick google shows that 913 Company is an anti aircraft company based in Liverpool (or at least it was in 1941).
