Records of Brian Dillon and Geoffrey Gordon Creed's Territories SOE-Greece October 1943

Hello All,

I am researching events in the territories of Brian Dillon and Geoffrey Gordon Creed, both of which were on the north shore of the Gulf of Corinth. Dillon's Codename was Lillian and I am not entirely sure of Gordon-Creed's codename, but I will update it. Have never been through SOE records, so I am interested if they describe events in particular territories. In particular I am hoping to learn about two aircraft crashes in October 1943.

It may be worth searching - as the site's search function is limited - with his full name in "..." + ww2talk.com (I tend use this in "..." too).

Creed does not appear in any other threads here.

 

Thanks, the post discusses another aircraft crash, which is what made me wonder if there were similar reports about the October 1943 crashes. Gordon-Creed also left a memoir which was recently republished under the name "Rogue Male." It was helpful but didn't get to the specific events I was looking for, same with Dillon's IWM interview. I wonder how much information was going out by radio that made it into the archival record.

 

Not my field SOE etc radio traffic, but I very much doubt radio messages made it into the public archives. If only due to the volume of paper of the coded messages, let alone secrecy.
