    Paul,

Do you still need the Leeds and Shipley chaps?

Weather depending I'll do them this Friday on my bike.

    Hi Paul,

Unfortuantely these two chaps do not have a Headstone. As with Andy's 'Leeds Chaps' they appear to be just buried and grassed over according to the records kept at Lawnswood Cemetery.

    Regards
    Andy

The CWGC site has a link to the Cemetery Row E Plot 285 for Edric Hartley (Not CR??!!) and furthermore on the Cemetery link there is a photo of two headstones together.
    See: http://www.cwgc.org/CWGCImgs/Leeds%20(Cottingley%20Hall)%20Cemetery.jpg
I hope that is of your chap!
You might find it worth trying for your other chap, too!

I went there today and a stone mason chap who had a map of the cemetery told me there was no E section (He showed me the map).

Before I spoke to him I spent nearly an hour walking around and I didn't see anything like the picture in the link.

One of the graves looks like it's got a Royal Artillery badge can anyone make out the second (Left) one?

    Cheers Jim,

Not to sound to cynical could they be random graves not from that cemetery seeing as neither is a Recce Badge or am I missing something ?

I'm assuming Recce chaps would have their own cap badge.

    Cheers

Andy, I've had the same sort of problem when searching Karrakatta for VC winners (WWI). I couldn't find one. Thanks for trying.
