Hoping that someone can help with the attached service record, i.e. help make sense of it. The man has a Recce Corps service number and his attestation papers show that this was what he joined. However, it looks like he was attached to No.10 Infantry Training Centre (KOSBs) the day he did so, presumably for basic training. A few days later he appears as attached to HQ Company, presumably still at the ITC, and then transfers to the 13th Bn, HLI, from the 5th Battalion ... My question is do you think that the HQ Company and 5th Battalion mentioned were in fact part of the ITC or part of the KOSBs proper? Many thanks for any pointers - not sure how ITCs worked.
